The Picnic Shoulder is an often overlooked roast, but we think it is the most flavorful. Slow roast this with a little apple cider or use it for your pork and sauerkraut. You will be impressed at the depth of flavor compared to a loin roast. The Picnic does have a more connective tissue, so it is best slow roasted.
